If you or anybody insured by your policy (i.e. you, your business partner or employee/employees) causes damage to your client’s property or another party’s property, or causes accidental injury to another party by being negligent whilst carrying out your trade or profession, your policy will indemnify you for any compensation required as a result of the damage or injury, including any legal defence costs incurred in defending a claim against you. It does not cover you for defective workmanship (although any resulting damage or injury will be covered), or Professional Indemnity.
